A ROCK FINALE TO THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS

KULT

KULT was formed in Warsaw in 1982 by singer — and later saxophonist — Kazik Staszewski and bassist Piotr Wieteska. Guitarist Tadeusz Bagan and drummer Darek Gierszewski completed the first line-up. The band made their stage debut on 7 July 1982 at Warsaw's Remont club. Since then, they have lost none of their popularity, continually touring and releasing new albums.

Successive generations of listeners appreciate KULT for their provocative, rebellious lyrics, distinctive sound and youthful defiance. Their latest studio album, “Ostatnia płyta”, their first in almost five years, was released in May 2021. KULT’s current line-up features Kazik Staszewski (vocals), Wojciech Jabłoński (guitar), Piotr Morawiec (guitar), Ireneusz Wereński (bass), Tomasz Goehs (drums), Konrad Wantrych (keyboards), Janusz Zdunek (trumpet), Mariusz Godzina (saxophones) and Jarosław Ważny (trombone).

PIDŻAMA PORNO

Pidżama Porno is a Polish punk rock band founded in 1987 by singer Krzysztof “Grabaż” Grabowski and guitarist Andrzej “Kozak” Kozakiewicz. The current line-up includes another talented artist, drummer Rafał “Kuzyn” Piotrowiak. During gigs, live musicians support the group, completing their arrangements.

The debut LP, “Ulice jak Stygmaty”, appeared in 1989. With successive releases, Pidżama Porno gained enormous popularity and recognition on Poland’s rock scene, their albums appearing year after year and greatly expanding their discography. “Futurista”, recorded in 1990, only appeared in 1996 because of the group’s split. The musicians nevertheless kept up the pace, releasing “Złodzieje zapalniczek”, “Styropian”, the remastered “Ulice jak stygmaty – absolutne rarytasy”, the radio-chart-conquering “Marchef w Butonierce” and “Bułgarskie Centrum” over the following years.

They appear at numerous cultural and music events, including Jarocin festival, Przystanek Woodstock, the Rock Festival in Węgorzewo, Sopot festival and Event Horizon Festival, where they headlined. After 15 years, “Sprzedawca jutra” appeared in 2019, promoted by the singles “Hokejowy zamek” and “Pomocy!”.

KONIEC ŚWIATA

Koniec Świata — the end of the world — can sometimes mean the beginning of some fine musical experiences. That is what this Katowice band, formed in 2000, offer. Over the years, line-ups have changed, new songs and albums have appeared, and the concert count has grown… but one thing has always remained the same. Their arrival on stage has always meant good music.

They call themselves Silesia’s folk calling card. Beyond Poland, they have performed in the USA, Canada, Ukraine, the UK, Slovakia and elsewhere. They sing about love and life, pairing even difficult reflections with light, catchy melodies. Polish students adore them, so they frequently appear at Juwenalia celebrations and prestigious festivals including Przystanek Woodstock, Cieszanów Festival and Jarocin Festiwal.
