KAMP!, We Draw A and Oxford Drama at City Sounds: Polish electronica at Eter club

On 12 December, electronic music fans should come to Wrocław's Eter, where two intriguing acts associated with the genre, KAMP! and We Draw A, will perform. The concert is part of Brennnessel On Tour 2014.

An enigmatic Wrocław duo: that is how We Draw A are usually described. The electro-pop act was founded by Peve Lety, associated with Indigo Tree. In summer 2012, the musicians created their first track, “Tears from the Sun”, heralding the “Glimpse” EP released by Brennnessel last year.

The duo released four records in a short space of time, including a still-fresh CD bringing together tracks from “Glimpse” and the band’s second EP, “Whirls”. We Draw A have played at last year’s Off Festival, where their hypnotic yet subtle melodies caused a sensation, and at the latest Open’er. On 12 December, we will see them at Eter. KAMP!, a band described as a phenomenon on the Polish music scene, will also perform on the same stage that day.

They formed seven years ago, but real popularity came almost two years ago with their first LP, simply titled “Kamp!”. Interest was so great that several thousand copies were added to the pressing within a couple of weeks. Industry experts and media were equally enthusiastic. Wprost wrote, “Their debut delights”; Onet.pl, “It was worth waiting”; and Przekrój summed KAMP! up as “World. Class.”

The group have remixed numerous artists, including Indigo Tree, Cool Kids of Death and Thieves Like Us. They also collaborated successfully with Monika Brodka: KAMP!'s remix of “Dancing Shoes” became one of the singles promoting her “LAX” release, delighting dozens of listeners.

KAMP! also collaborate with other artists by promoting and releasing their music through Brennnessel, the label they founded several years ago. The concert on 12 December is part of Brennnessel on Tour. Be sure to come to Eter.
