The second Wrocławski Sound at Impart: Mikromusic, Indigo Tree and L.U.C. Qwitu Jazz Quintet

The second Wrocławski Sound at Impart was announced as a meeting of different strands of the local alternative scene. Mikromusic, Indigo Tree and L.U.C. Qwitu Jazz Quintet featured in a programme spanning nu jazz, electronics, blues, pop and rock, alongside screenings and exhibitions.

The second Wrocławski Sound begins on 14 October at Wrocław's Impart. The event is a showcase of the capital of Lower Silesia's most interesting and exceptional music. Over three days, audiences will enjoy Mikromusic, Bipolar Bears, Indigo Tree, Neony and Łukasz Rostkowski's new project, LUC Qwitu Jazz Quintet, among others.

The musical cocktail on offer at CS Impart in mid-October has many flavours: from nu jazz and electronica through blues to pop and rock, all served with an alternative twist! It has long been clear that artists associated with the city on the Oder have a knack for creating sounds that linger in the memory. Music made by these “Wrocław natives” is also distinctive because it differs from most of the sounds around us.

Alongside established artists, young creators will also appear, including those working outside music. There will be exhibitions and audiovisual screenings. Above all, what counts is creativity and promoting innovative sounds: the lesser-known, niche, yet beautiful and worth seeing.

Album premieres prepared especially for Wrocławski Sound by Mikromusic and Indigo Tree offer an extra treat. Another instalment of the 4871 compilation, “Wrocławski Sound”, will also go on sale. The first band are almost a Wrocław calling card: Natalia Grosiak and company’s third album premiere should certainly attract many musical explorers. Another Łukasz Rostkowski project also generates enormous curiosity. Better known as LUC, the Zielona Góra native associated with Wrocław for several years has created LUC Qwitu Jazz Quintet this time.
