Fismoll, Milky Wishlake and Oly. at Eter: intimate songs and the world of “Box of Feathers”
Fismoll, Milky Wishlake and Oly. create three distinct worlds of personal songwriting, ranging from lyrical guitar music to electronics. The preview of their shared bill at Eter also introduces Fismoll’s “Box of Feathers”.

Fismoll will perform at Wrocław’s Eter club on 22 October! Despite his very young age, this phenomenal artist has proved that music of the highest international calibre can be created in Poland. His sophisticated, mature compositions surprise with their lyricism. His vocal abilities and superb guitar playing have earned him recognition as one of Poland’s finest musicians. His second album, “Box Of Feathers”, will appear soon, and Wrocław audiences will hear its songs live for the first time. That evening, the stage will also welcome the intriguing producer, singer, composer and pianist Milky Wishlake, alongside Oly., a master of intimate narratives and atmospheric melodies.
Fismoll is one of the most surprising new discoveries of the past two years. The young artist is an exceptional singer-songwriter and an impeccable guitarist. He is sometimes compared to Ólafur Arnalds and Sigur Rós, but follows his own path. With remarkable ease, he combines the fairy-tale atmosphere of his compositions with moving melodies, and freshness and catchiness with an intensely intimate message. The music he offers his audience is not easy, yet Fismoll makes no compromises. Rightly so: his debut, “At Glade”, was ranked among the year’s 10 best albums by Gazeta Wyborcza and nominated for a Fryderyk for Debut of the Year, while its promotional single, “Let’s Play Birds”, enjoyed success on Radio Three’s chart.
Fismoll is also renowned for brilliant concerts and excellent rapport with audiences, who appreciate his modesty, professionalism and disarming personal charm. Every performance leaves you wanting more. That makes it all the more exciting that the Wrocław concert will feature songs from the new album. Without exaggeration, it can be considered one of the autumn's musical highlights.
With his self-produced “Five Contemporary Songs”, Milky Wishlake became a talking point for everyone following new developments on the Polish music scene, even casually. This young producer, singer, composer and pianist was almost immediately hailed as one of the great hopes of 2015. Five songs were enough to demonstrate his unique talent. A voice striking in its power and range, musical freedom and space, and original experiments with electronics and piano are his hallmarks.
Oly. is a very young artist with a distinctive, warm voice and remarkable maturity. A self-taught musician, she possesses an exceptional sensitivity and gift for composition, apparent from the first notes. Her songs are unconventional narratives, each with a story and an original way of telling it. They are written with the accompaniment of small instruments, the ukulele and kalimba, which she also plays live. Her lyrics are intimate stories recalling the finest songwriters worldwide. Her debut album, featuring guests including Fismoll, will appear in June. Songs previously heard in acoustic versions will emerge in varied arrangements built around a propulsive rhythm section, with distinctive solid-wood drums, vintage guitars, a small piano, an old cello, voices, environmental sounds and occasional electronic elements.
