Fismoll at City Sounds: previews of new songs and the musical world of “At Glade”

Fismoll will preview new songs from the forthcoming album and perform compositions already familiar to audiences from his debut “At Glade”.

The concert, part of City Sounds, takes place on 12 November in the atmospheric, mysterious Gothic Hall at Stary Klasztor, ul. Purkyniego 1.

The Gothic Hall's atmosphere will certainly appeal to admirers of Fismoll's talent. Seats are numbered, so it is worth buying tickets quickly to be as close as possible to the stage and performing artists.

Fismoll is one of the most surprising new discoveries of the past two years. This young artist with Scandinavian roots is an exceptional singer and songwriter, as well as a superb guitarist. From the very start of his musical career, fans and journalists mentioned him in the same breath as outstanding artists such as Bon Iver, Sigur Rós, Ben Howard and Damien Rice. His debut record, “At Glade”, was named among the year’s 10 best albums in Gazeta Wyborcza’s ranking and received a Fryderyk nomination for Debut of the Year. Fismoll’s first single, “Let's Play Birds”, became Song of the Day on Polish Radio Three as soon as Marek Niedźwiecki heard it, and the station gave the album its prestigious patronage. The video for the first single was soon watched by more than a million fans, who left enthusiastic comments.

Journalists and musicians including Katarzyna Nosowska, Czesław Mozil, Marek Niedźwiecki, Piotr Bartyś and Artur Orzech are captivated by the young artist. Like listeners, they describe his music and talent as extraordinary.

Fismoll focuses on pure harmony and simplicity because, as he says, “sounds are not there to get in the way; they are there to be missed”. With this approach, his modest stage presence and an excellent set of compositions on his debut album, Fismoll attracted the attention of independent music fans in just a few months. The exceptionally enthusiastic reception he received at this year’s summer festivals confirmed it.

In Wrocław, the artist will perform with a full live line-up, with visuals prepared by Kolektyw Woom adding to the concert atmosphere.
