Neony in RAM Session: Wrocław rock with British roots and a debut in Jarocin
Neony paired an interest in British rock with their Wrocław roots on the debut “Niewolnicy Weekendu”. The second RAM Session announcement introduces the band ahead of a radio concert in the Drama Studio and recalls its beginnings at Jarocin Festival.
On the final Friday of February, Wrocław band Neony will be the guests of Ram Session. The live concert on 89.8 FM begins after 20.00. We launched the Ram Session concert series in January with Funky New Orleans. This time, on 28 February, Neony will appear in the Radio Drama Studio on ul. Karkonoska.
The band debuted in Jarocin in 2010, winning a young talent competition ahead of 600 other bands.
In 2011, Neony released their debut, “Niewolnicy Weekendu”, receiving many excellent reviews in specialist media. “Fresh blood has arrived on the Polish market. They're called Neony, they come from Wrocław and they love rock and roll,” reviewers wrote of the debut.
Neony play alternative rock with British roots, combined with post-punk and indie-pop sounds. “Guitars are the most important thing for us. We're inspired by the dirty sound of British music and 1970s rock,” they say in interviews.
Neony perform with:
Dawid Zając – vocals and guitar
Grzegorz Sawa-Borysławski – bass
Jakub Zublewicz – guitar
Tomasz Garbera – drums.
The musicians have also been associated with groups such as Lili Marlene, Dust Blow and Coffee Break.
