Funky New Orleans launch RAM Session: nine musicians, funk, soul and blues

Funky New Orleans will play for you during the first live concert on Radio RAM.

The group’s musicians are known for working with HooDoo Band, Miloopa, NERVY, Pink Freud, Fat Burning Step and Oszibarack.

Funky New Orleans will perform with their full nine-piece line-up at the Radio Drama Studio, ul. Karkonoska 10. They will play funk, soul, blues and a little modern jazz. The concert will refer to New Orleans' musical heritage.

“The Radio Drama Studio has excellent acoustics and is popular with recording engineers. It serves as a recording studio for virtually every genre, from choirs and smaller classical ensembles to pop, blues, jazz and even heavy rock and metal,” says Krzysztof Znamirowski, head of the radio station's technical services and broadcasting.

FNO’s concert will launch a new music series, RAM Session. Once a month, we will invite bands and musicians from Wrocław to the radio drama studio. We want to present established names while also promoting emerging groups and artists on Radio RAM. One principle will unite every RAM Session concert: our search for the distinctive and pioneering in contemporary popular music.

“We are delighted to be able to share our energy with Radio RAM listeners during a live concert. Join us for a truly carnival-style party with Funky New Orleans,” says band musician Tomek Kasiukiewicz.
