Nut Ferment #09: The Crackers Band played Janek Samołyk’s song | Music programme on YouTube
news
Janek Samołyk, Sambor Dudziński and The Crackers Band met in episode nine. Original songs, a solo multi-instrumental setup and a large band offered three perspectives on the evening.
On 14 June 2015, episode 9 of Nut Ferment took place at Scena Ciśnień in Wrocław’s Capitol Musical Theatre. Konrad Imiela hosted the meeting, with live performances interspersed with conversation.
Each guest performed songs from their own repertoire and interpreted a piece associated with another participant. Passing songs between the artists brought different voices, instruments and approaches to the same stage.
The opening song
The title song “Nut Ferment” was performed by Konrad Imiela. Tomasz Leszczyński composed the music and Konrad Imiela wrote the lyrics.
Janek Samołyk
Singer, guitarist and songwriter Janek Samołyk performed material in both Polish and English. His band for the ninth episode also included violin and keyboards. The repertoire exchange took him towards a song by Sambor Dudziński.
The set included “Don't Think Too Much” and “Problem z wiernością”. The exchange added “Do Ciebie”, from the repertoire of Sambor Dudziński.

Singer and multi-instrumentalist Sambor Dudziński returned after appearing with Formacja Chłopięca Legitymacje. His solo performance drew on voice, keyboards, wind instruments and his own mobile percussion setup. Soprano saxophone, bass clarinet and duduk were among the instruments listed for the concert.
The set included “Zielony wiersz” and “Kryzys”. The exchange added “Trochę funky”, from the repertoire of The Crackers Band.

The Crackers Band appeared with Joanna Kwaśnik on vocals and a large ensemble of rhythm section, two guitars, keyboards, backing singers and wind instruments. The musicians included Krzysztof Borowicz, who also worked on sound for the series. Their set connected “Waiting 4U” and “Brother” with a song by Janek Samołyk.
The exchange also brought “Springtime in My Heart”.
