Nut Ferment #02: Mirowska sang Shata QS’s “Walk Through the Fire” | Music programme on YouTube
news
Kasia Mirowska’s jazz-informed songs, Shata QS’s soul and Synaptine’s band sound met in the second Nut Ferment. Each guest also interpreted another participant’s song.
On 9 November 2014, episode 2 of Nut Ferment took place at Scena Ciśnień in Wrocław’s Capitol Musical Theatre. Konrad Imiela hosted the meeting, with live performances interspersed with conversation.
Each guest performed songs from their own repertoire and interpreted a piece associated with another participant. Passing songs between the artists brought different voices, instruments and approaches to the same stage.
The opening song
The title song “Nut Ferment” was performed by Magdalena Wojnarowska accompanied by Roberta Jarmużka (keyboards) and Adama Moszyńskiego (drums). Tomasz Leszczyński composed the music and Konrad Imiela wrote the lyrics.

Singer and songwriter Katarzyna Mirowska brought a jazz-informed approach to the second episode. Her 2013 album “Liquid Love” was made with pianist and composer Robert Jarmużek. They appeared together at Capitol, in an intimate voice-and-keyboard line-up.
The set included “Nie trzeba słów” and “Small Place”. The exchange added “Walk Through the Fire”, from the repertoire of Shata QS.

Shata QS is the project of singer, composer and lyricist Małgorzata Kuś. Her music combined soul, funk and reggae, with arrangements developed alongside Łukasz Damrych. The winner of the sixth edition of “Must Be the Music” was joined here by guitarist Marcin Karel.
The set included “Show Your Love in Deeds” and “Die Free”. The exchange added “Stars”, from the repertoire of Synaptine.

Synaptine brought together vocalist Waldemar Kasta and guitarist Tomasz Pomian with bassist Marcin Gołębniak and drummer Adam Moszyński. Spontaneity and playing together were central to the group’s approach. Their English-language songs met the repertoire of both vocalists taking part in the episode.
The set included “Choice” and “Who You Are”. The exchange added “Liquid Love”, from the repertoire of Kasia Mirowska.
