Illusion at Stary Klasztor: a concert promoting the band’s seventh studio album

6 APRIL 2018

This is the seventh studio album by the band, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. It will feature nine tracks. “Talking with the band at rehearsals, we agreed that we wanted to record an album that sounded aggressive, raw and natural. It had to deliver a proper f***ing kicking! We wanted to bring out Illusion’s characteristic sound, built on a powerful rhythm section, gritty guitars and Tomek’s energetic vocals,” says Szymon Sieńko, the new album’s producer.

The new single is a return to Illusion's roots: a solid dose of energy, anger and rebellion against the enduring weaknesses of human nature. “Kto jest winien?” is a dark track with uncompromising lyrics questioning the state of societies and their powerlessness in the face of military action. Who is responsible for the bloodshed, and why does it still happen in the modern era, Tomasz “Lipa” Lipnicki concludes.

SUPPORT:
Issel are a Wrocław band playing a new kind of metal. Each member finds inspiration in very different, though mainly metal-related styles, something audible in Issel’s music. The band’s music combines contemporary metal elements with classic heavy-metal phrases, seasoned with melodic metal and occasional progressive passages.

The band’s 6-track EP will be released on 6 April. It will be available to buy at the concert.
