Doček Nove Godine, a Balkan New Year's Eve celebration, joins the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Finale!
Doček Nove Godine simply means celebrating the New Year according to the Julian calendar, used by followers of the Greek Catholic and Orthodox rites.
Balkan New Year’s Eve with WOŚP!
This is a unique opportunity to experience two New Year’s Eves in succession: the traditional one based on the Gregorian calendar and the Balkan one based on the Julian calendar.
On Saturday 11 January, join us in the Gothic Hall at Stary Klasztor, where we will celebrate together to exhilarating Balkan music played live by Sarakina Balkan Band and Balkan Folk Acoustic, alongside Poland's leading specialist in Balkan beats, DJ Szoszana!
The programme includes plenty of dancing, Balkan food tasting and, of course, a shared welcome for the Balkan New Year!
WOŚP volunteers with collection tins will be waiting at the concert entrance. Everyone gives what they can: every złoty counts!
