33rd WROCŁAW WOŚP GRAND FINALE. CONCERTS AND EVENTS

Big hearts for the youngest patients!

Since the earliest WOŚP Grand Finales, Wrocław has supported Jurek Owsiak’s initiative with tremendous enthusiasm. Concerts and accompanying events have become a tradition here. The first major Grand Finale concerts in Wrocław’s Market Square took place back in 1993, the Orchestra’s first year. Ever since, the city’s authorities and residents have risen to the occasion each year to support organisers and volunteers alike.

Through years of cooperation with WOŚP organising teams, the Wrocław stage not only offers incredible shows but, above all, encourages generous support. Wrocław alone has 12 teams coordinating volunteers and organising local events. Information about individual teams' events can be found on their social media channels.

WHAT AWAITS US ON 26 JANUARY 2025?

Wrocław's WOŚP Finale is eagerly awaited by residents and visitors from other cities alike. This year's events will traditionally centre on the Market Square and Stary Klasztor, filled with music, colour and joy.

WROCŁAW’S MARKET SQUARE AT THE HEART OF THE ACTION!

On the day of the 33rd WOŚP Finale, Wrocław’s Market Square will become a true hub of activity, filled with musical excitement and a wide range of attractions. Alongside concerts on the main stage, visitors can look forward to meeting fascinating personalities who will share their knowledge and experience. Guests will include representatives of WKS Śląsk, the Ambassador of the Wrocław WOŚP Finale, Professor Krzysztof Kałwak, a professor of medical sciences, and players from the Panthers Wrocław American football team. Numerous exhibitors’ stands will also be spread throughout the square, offering a chance to learn about local organisations, watch demonstrations by emergency services, enjoy interactive attractions and sample food-truck specialities. It is the perfect place to spend an entire day in an atmosphere of solidarity and positive energy.

NIKOLA WARDA WITH THE “DO SERCA PRZYTUL PSA” PROJECT

Young, talented singer Nikola Warda will present the special project “Do serca przytul psa”. Its theme is the much-loved line from Jan Kaczmarek’s song for cabaret Elita and Studio 202: “Hold a dog close to your heart, take a cat onto your lap…” This will be an unforgettable performance full of musical memories and joy, giving younger listeners and their parents the chance to sing the finest animal songs together.

ZESPÓŁ REWELACJA

Children's band Rewelacja have played with us for many years! These little ones share a love of music. Rewelacja are living proof that children's creativity, commitment and talent can create something special on any stage!

GMW with the “Play Depeche Mode” project

GMW — Gołębski, Maszyński and Wełyczko — will present “Play Depeche Mode”, a tribute to the legendary band. They will transport listeners into the world of classics such as “Enjoy the Silence” and “Personal Jesus”, preserving the original atmosphere while adding their own arrangements. It is a proposition for devoted Depeche Mode fans and lovers of refined synth-pop alike.

WROCLOVE GUITAR TOP – “ŚPIEWNIK POLSKIEGO ROCKA”

Wrocław artists have prepared the special “Śpiewnik polskiego rocka” project, taking audiences through the greatest Polish rock hits. The repertoire includes songs by legends such as Perfect, Lady Pank and Maanam, reminding us of their important role in shaping Polish musical culture.

ŁONA x KONIECZNY x KRUPA

The Łona, Konieczny and Krupa trio stands for musical artistry and lyrical depth. Łona, known for intelligent lyrics full of irony and humour, works with pianist Konieczny and drummer Krupa to create a unique mix of jazz, hip-hop and alternative music. Their performance is both a musical feast and a journey through varied emotions and reflections.

BIG DAY

Polish rock legends Big Day have attracted fans for years with hits such as “W świetle i we mgle” and “Przestrzeń”. The band became famous in the 90s, but their music remains timeless. Their WOŚP Finale concert offers a chance to revisit the biggest hits and rediscover their extraordinary atmosphere.

The evening will culminate in the traditional Light to Heaven, lighting the sky above Wrocław at 20:00. This year's Light is an extraordinary laser show, followed immediately by a performance from the international IPS Choir.

Numerous special guests will appear on stage throughout the day, and Macoch, Maciej Szabatowski and Paweł Gołębski will host the event.

Stary Klasztor – a stage full of emotion

At Stary Klasztor, we begin on 25 January with the traditional sea-shanty concert organised by Wrocław's sailing community. In the Stained Glass Hall, ZA HORYZONTEM, JAN i KLAN, W STRONĘ PORTU and ORKIESTRA SAMANTA will play for WOŚP.

On 26 January, Stary Klasztor's Gothic Hall will once again become the musical heart of Wrocław's WOŚP Finale. Exceptional artists will perform here, offering a variety of sounds, and all proceeds will support the worthy cause of this year's fundraiser.

NAGO, formed in Wrocław in 2021, will present songs full of emotion and energy. Following successes at events such as Next Festival and Great September, and a Wrocław Artistic Award 2024 nomination, the group have earned a reputation as one of Poland's most promising alternative bands.

ROGAL SALUT! The leader of Rogal Salut! and his musicians, who work with reggae stars such as Kamil Bednarek and Sean Paul, will take the audience on a journey full of positive rhythms and profound lyrics. An ideal choice for lovers of Jamaican sounds.

KOBIETY MAJĄ GŁOS – WROCLOVE DIVAS FOR WOŚP. The “Kobiety mają głos!” project will bring 28 talented Wrocław singers together on one stage, known from programmes including The Voice of Poland and Szansa na Sukces. Performing in Stary Klasztor’s Gothic Hall will be Adeama Walkowiak, Paulina Cynkar, Ula Issel, Anna Szul, Angelika Klimek, Ola Madziara, Anna Nguyen, Aleksandra Turoń, Joanna Kwaśnik, Justyna Kalbarczyk, Agnieszka Bednarek, Malwina Rabenda-Duszyńska, Katarzyna Mirowska, Martyna Rokaszewicz and Rafaela Maruska, among others. This entire project, brimming with girl power, was created especially for the WOŚP Finale, with the singers accompanied by a band led by Aleksander Klewaczew.

Health-Screening Sunday at the University Clinical Hospital

During this year's WOŚP Finale, Wrocław residents can also access free medical consultations through “Biała Niedziela”. Specialists in various fields at the University Clinical Hospital on ul. Borowska will offer advice and examinations without referrals.

Patients will have access to doctors specialising in areas including paediatrics, paediatric surgery, dermatology and ophthalmology. Przylądek Nadziei will host workshops for primary care doctors and numerous activities for children, such as creative workshops and a Christmas carol concert.

Wrocław plays together with WOŚP – join in!

The 33rd WOŚP Finale is more than concerts and events: above all, it is a chance to help those who need it most. Wrocław will once again show its big heart, with residents and city authorities fully committed to the Orchestra's cause.
