The Herbaliser at Stary Klasztor: jazz, hip-hop and “Bring Out The Sound”

Leading representatives of the legendary Ninja Tune label return to Wrocław to perform on 1 October in the Gothic Hall at Stary Klasztor. Anyone who attended last year's concert knows only too well that the evening of 1 October is worth setting aside for an encounter with The Herbaliser's explosive music!

The Herbaliser return to Wrocław!

The Herbaliser are an innovative jazz and hip-hop duo formed in the early 1990s. The founders were Propheteers bassist Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba, known for his work as a DJ and producer.

Their work neatly combines hip-hop beats with tasteful jazz and funk samples, and even stylish rap.

They have written music for the cult film “Snatch”, as well as for Sony PlayStation games.
After releasing their debut album “Remedies” in 1995, they quickly became significant figures on the British music scene. Initially focused on synthetic sounds, they gradually moved towards live instruments, culminating in 2002’s “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, on which live music takes precedence over electronics.

Over time, the Herbaliser duo expanded into a live band of more than a dozen musicians, becoming not only Ninja Tune's biggest stars but also a mark of quality and a living calling card for the label!
The Herbaliser return with “Bring Out The Sound”, released in March 2018.

The album received critical acclaim, as did the band’s seven previous studio albums.

The Herbaliser have again asserted their distinctive voice in British hip-hop combined with psychedelic elements.
The live band will spring into action with “Bring Out The Sound”, introducing listeners to a new, yet not entirely unfamiliar, world of Herbaliser sounds.
