“SYMFONIA MAŁEGO MIASTA” BY NO LOGO AND MARIA SADOWSKA

THIS JOURNEY WILL BE MORE THAN AN INCREDIBLE MUSICAL ADVENTURE,

An audiovisual project featuring No Logo and Maria Sadowska, combining music with a video presentation made up of archive footage from the musicians’ home towns and cities.

“Symfonia Małego Miasta” combines live music with an audiovisual presentation of archive material from Sejny in Podlasie, the hometown of NO LOGO. The performance transports viewers into an atmosphere characteristic not only of small towns in eastern Poland, but also of communities throughout the country and districts of major cities. The Symphony weaves an atmosphere in which contemporary sounds and archive video images take listeners straight into the events, customs and places connected with local history during the final 50 years of the 20th century. This journey will be both an extraordinary musical adventure and a return to memories of years gone by.

Following several live presentations, including performances in Sejny, Warsaw and Suwałki, the project was recorded. Music lovers and anyone interested in the history of the Sejny region can now watch it online. Be sure to take a look!

The filmed project summary was prepared by NO LOGO & Marysia Sadowska, Fundacja Jazz Jamboree and Sejny's Municipal Archive. The recording was made and shared online through National Centre for Culture funding under “Kultura w sieci”.
