Reggulator 2014 in Lubięcin: a ninth reggae edition beside Lake Kochanowskie

As usual, the event takes place at the sports grounds near Lake Kochanowskie. This great reggae celebration in Lubięcin, near Nowa Sól, takes place on 28 June, starting at 19.00.

Mixtura

Mixtura is a line-up of musicians known from various rock, reggae and hip-hop projects, including EastWest Rockers, Jamal, Ras Luta, Ocean, Managga and Contra. Their music is an unpredictable combination of electronica, hip-hop elements, dubstep, rock and Jamaican sounds. They have the warmly received album “Duch w Maszynie”, released in autumn 2012, to their name.

Roots Rockets

Roots Rockets was formed in Andrychów in autumn 2010 at the initiative of singer Beniamin Sobaniec, initially under the name Tybet. The line-up changed throughout the band's turbulent first two years. It was not until April 2012 that it stabilised as work on the debut album was being completed. Today, Roots Rockets are an established band touring throughout the country.

Tallib & D'Roots Brothers

TaLLib performs as a solo artist, accompanied by his younger brother Sztoss. Tallib has played more than 100 concerts across Poland. Online audiences have already embraced the Lublin artist's work, with his YouTube tracks attracting over 3.0 million views. In April 2011, he released his debut album, “Prosto z Serca”. On stage he is accompanied by D'Roots Brothers.

Positive Thursdays in DUB

Positive Thursdays in DUB grew from the Pozytywne Czwartki radio programme in late 2011. It currently comprises music journalist and DJ Rafał Konert, trumpeter Sebastian Pachecki and trombonist Tomek Kasiukiewicz. Their performances are a lesson in Jamaican music history. Sets include both reggae’s golden-age tracks and new productions by dub veterans, accompanied by live trumpet and trombone. Combined with specially selected samples, these instruments perfectly fill dub’s spaces.

Zgas

Poland's only two-time beatboxing champion. With his unique style, he imitates diverse sounds, musical instruments, vocal scratches and a bomb motif, can create three tracks simultaneously with his mouth, and performs excellent covers of well-known hits. His first solo album, “Human Beatbox”, released in April 2011, is one of the world's first “skills-based” records.
