NOON at City Sounds: Mikołaj Bugajak’s instrumental music at Wrocław’s Stara Piwnica

Known for his unconventional approach to music, NOON began as a producer, helping shape the success of artists including Grammatik with ‘Światła miasta’ (2000) and Pezet with ‘Muzyka klasyczna’ (2002) and ‘Muzyka poważna’ (2004).

Above all, however, NOON means instrumental music, captured on four mini-albums, each in a different style: “Bleak Output” (2001), “Gry Studyjne” (2003), “Pewne sekwencje” (2008) and “Dziwne dźwięki i niepojęte czyny” (2010). The journey from instrumental hip-hop through electronic music to acoustic compositions has been seamless, largely thanks to the distinctive sound that is his hallmark. This April, after a break of several years, the artist released another album, entitled “Algorytm”.
