Lamb in Wrocław: Lou Rhodes, Andy Barlow and the trip-hop sound of the duo’s fifth album
Lamb, Lou Rhodes and Andy Barlow, return in the City Sounds announcement with material from their fifth album. “5” develops a dialogue between emotional vocals and electronics, familiar from ballads such as “Gabriel” and “Górecki” and the more restless rhythms of drum and bass.

Lamb are a legendary British cult duo rooted in the Bristol sound and trip-hop. Alongside Massive Attack, Portishead and Hooverphonic, they prove that electronic music can have a romantic side.
Charismatic singer and lyricist Lou Rhodes and producer and multi-instrumentalist Andy Barlow created a unique style combining lyrical vocals with ambient, trip-hop and jazz pulses. Their extraordinary productions stretch from lyrical ambient ballads through dark trip-hop to fierce, restless drum’n’bass.
They have 5 albums and 3 compilations to their name, featuring songs now regarded as classics, including Gabriel, Górecki, Heaven, Angelica, Lullaby, Cottonwool and God Bless. In 2004, the duo officially suspended their activities to concentrate on their own solo projects. Barlow and Rhodes played their final concert together at Amsterdam’s Paradiso in September 2004. That memorable performance was recorded for a DVD that was never released. Early in 2009, news of the duo’s return to live performance caused a sensation. Their 2009 tour brought them to Poland for the first time, for a memorable concert at Warsaw’s Palladium. The tour’s enormous success encouraged them to return to the studio and work on their fifth studio album. Their new record, entitled 5, was released this year.

Following sold-out concerts at Tauron Nowa Muzyka and FreeFormFestival, the band will once again present material from its new album!
