Kayah and the entire “Kamień” album: a live presentation at Wrocław Congress Centre
Kayah announced a tour marking twenty years of “Kamień”, with the full album planned for Wrocław Congress Centre. Revisiting the early songs brought an anniversary perspective together with the idea of refreshing their sound for the stage.
On 27 November in the Auditorium Hall of the Wrocław Congress Centre, KAYAH will present the entire material from her first album, “Kamień”, considered a cult record by some, to the Wrocław audience!
This year marks 20 years since her first original album, “Kamień”, released in November 1995. It earned Kayah her first Fryderyk ’95 statuette for Best Female Vocalist of the Year. This is a special record for many people: Kayah’s fans often discuss and remember it, holding it particularly close. Now it is time to revisit the past, reinterpret songs written at the beginning of her career and refresh the sounds that made Kayah recognisable and won her a loyal following.
The concerts will feature the album's best-known songs, including “Fleciki”, “Nawet deszcz”, “Santana”, “Jestem kamieniem” and “Jak liść”, plus several musical surprises in unexpected arrangements. Exceptional musicians will accompany her on Poland's finest stages. The tour begins in November 2015, exactly 20 years after the album's release.
