Kaliber 44 at Eter: a return to the clubs after the band’s ten-year break

We had to wait many years before Kaliber 44's members decided to share a stage again under that name. The reunion is happening, as demonstrated by club concerts and work on a new record due out next year. In just under two months, on 4 December, Kaliber 44 will visit Wrocław to play at Eter.

Kaliber 44 are considered a legendary group, and not just by hip-hop fans. Calling them “phenomenal” would be no exaggeration either, considering what they have achieved on the domestic scene.

Their debut album, “Księga tajemnicza. Prolog”, released in 1996, is regarded as one of the best albums in Polish music history. The next, “W 63 minuty dookoła świata”, further confirmed Kaliber 44’s importance to Polish hip-hop. In 2000, the group’s third and so far last album, “3:44”, went on sale. 2003 proved a turning point, as the decision was made to suspend Kaliber’s activity.

Fans had waited a long time for news of the group’s reunion, and the musicians had appeared on stage together several times, raising precisely those hopes. The decision to resume activity finally came this year, after a 10-year break, prompted by an invitation to one of the most important festivals, Heineken Open’er Festival. There, everyone could see that Kaliber were still on form and still moved their listeners.

The reunion is happening. The group members have not only started playing concerts again, but also promise a new album, work on which is just beginning. Fans can also look forward to vinyl editions of the three earlier albums, which Kaliber are preparing with SP Records.

Kaliber's return is an event that will be talked about a great deal. At Wrocław's Eter on 4 December, you can attend one of the first concerts since the group resumed activity. It has to be seen!
