Kaliber 44 returned to recording together on “Ułamek tarcia” after a lengthy break. The concert announcement traces Abradab and Joka’s path from pioneering Polish hip-hop albums to a repertoire including “Film”, “Konfrontacje” and “Gruby czarny kot”.

KALIBER 44 are pioneers and legends of Polish hip-hop, counted among the genre’s most important representatives. Their records are regarded as cult classics, and their concerts draw legions of fans.
In 2016, Kaliber returned with a new album, “Ułamek tarcia”. The past year was a succession of successes for the band. “Ułamek tarcia” achieved gold status.
The group are in superb form, having played dozens of incredible concerts, including headline appearances at festivals such as OFF, Orange Warsaw, Hip Hop Kemp and Solidarity of Arts!! The concert programme features the band’s greatest hits! As Abradab and Joka say: “…Although we’ve been away for a while, we’re picking up where we left off”.
The group was formed in 1994 by two rappers, brothers Michał Marten, known as “Joka”, and Marcin Marten, who performs under the name “abradAb”. They were soon joined by Piotr Łuszcz, “Magik”, who left Kaliber after recording two albums to establish the equally revered Paktofonika.
Kaliber have released four studio albums: “Księga tajemnicza. Prolog”, regarded as a pioneering release in hardcore psychorap, “W 63 minuty dookoła świata”, “3:44” and their latest, “Ułamek tarcia”. Each album is different, representing another stage in the development of a band with an impressive catalogue of timeless tracks: “Psychodela”, “Nasze mózgi wypełnione są Marią”, “Plus i minus (+i-)”, “Gruby czarny kot”, “Film”, “Konfrontacje”, “Normalnie o tej porze” and “Nieodwracalne zmiany”.
