BISZ AND B.O.K AT STARY KLASZTOR

16 DECEMBER 2017

We will hear tracks from across the artists' work, from the band's earliest albums through cult street singles and songs from the gold-selling “Wilk Chodnikowy”, to numbers from “Labirynt Babel” and the Fryderyk-nominated “Wilczy Humor”. All are arranged into a powerful, energetic programme, performed by the full instrumental line-up.

Bisz is a rapper, poet, cultural-studies scholar and radio-drama author. From the beginning, he has been valued for thoughtful lyrics, his choice of subjects, wordplay and fusion of genres. He earned Gold for “Wilk chodnikowy” and was Aktivist’s Artist of the Year 2012. “Labirynt Babel”, recorded with his original band B.O.K, debuted at number one on OLIS and received numerous highly positive reviews. His latest album, “Wilczy Humor”, recorded with Pustki leader Radek Łukasiewicz, was nominated for this year’s Fryderyk music award.

B.O.K is an eight-piece group of musicians, individual personalities, artists and instrumentalists operating within the broad framework of hip-hop. That is the shortest possible description of a band that cannot easily be pigeonholed or assigned to a specific musical movement. Today, B.O.K is the only group on Poland's hip-hop scene working and touring permanently with such an extensive instrumental line-up.

B.O.K concerts are a musical feast delivered by a seven-piece live band who have enjoyed an excellent reception at major festivals including Off Festiwal, Coke Live Festiwal, Hip-Hop Kemp, Slot Art Festiwal and Męskie Granie, as well as at hundreds of concerts in Poland and abroad. B.O.K’s hallmark is their ease across the entire spectrum of genres, from beat-driven music to heavy guitar sounds, and from classical violin motifs to jazz improvisation.
