Ayo at Eter: “Ticket To The World” and musical roots at the meeting point of folk, soul and hip-hop

The creator of hits “Down On My Knees”, “And It’s Supposed To Be Love”, “Slow, Slow” and “Lonely” returns with another excellent album, “Ticket To The World”! Wrocław audiences will have the chance to see AYO live on 18 December at Eter as part of Ethno Jazz Festival 2013.

Ayo is an exceptionally talented and beautiful singer whose music has won fans’ hearts around the world. She won over Polish audiences with “Down On My Knees”, from her debut album “Joyful”. The record produced 2 further hits, “Life Is Real” and “And It’s Supposed To Be Love”, and went gold in Poland on the day of its release. For many months, “Joyful”, alongside Nelly Furtado’s album, was the best-selling international album of 2007.

In September 2007, AYO achieved another success, selling out her entire Polish tour. She gave three extraordinary, exhilarating concerts. Tickets for the first, in Poznań, sold out a month in advance! In 2008, she returned with another excellent album, “Gravity At Last”, featuring the hit “Slow, Slow”.

The artist's next album, her third, “Billie-Eve”, was released in March 2011. Wrocław audiences had a chance to hear its material during Ayo's concert on Wyspa Słodowa for the city's celebrations.

“Ticket To The World” will be the artist's fourth album, reaching shops on 8 October. It was recorded in New York with Jay Newland, producer of her two previous records. Stylistically, it returns to Ayo's musical roots: a combination of folk and soul with a touch of hip-hop.

At the Wrocław concert, Ayo’s fans will have a special opportunity to hear and see new songs alongside hits from previous albums. Every Ayo performance is a captivating, unforgettable show!
