Asaf Avidan at Capitol: alone with a guitar and personal emotions during the Wrocław concert

For the concert announced at Capitol, Asaf Avidan turns to a pared-back format of voice, guitar and personal emotion. A vocal range moving from whisper to scream creates intimacy, while the artist describes performing as a search for a moment of truth.

After two years away, the charismatic singer from Israel returns to Wrocław!

Alone with his guitar, he does what he does best: looking deep within himself, he creates moments of pure emotion and shares them with the audience through his unique voice.

On 16 November, he will perform at Capitol Musical Theatre in a concert celebrating Ethno Jazz Festival’s tenth anniversary.

The New York Times describes him as an extraordinary hybrid:

“An artist who writes like Leonard Cohen, sings like Robert Plant and has the charisma of a cabaret showman.”

Sold-out concerts around the world, headline appearances at the biggest and most prestigious festivals, excellent reviews in the international press, Platinum and Gold records…

After international success, Asaf Avidan wants to remind himself and the audience that he is, first and foremost, a bard and songwriter.

In the show we will witness in Wrocław, lyrics, melodies and voice take centre stage. On an intimate journey, Avidan invites us into the labyrinth of his world, to watch him cry, whisper and shout new interpretations of songs from his entire repertoire.

Enter the labyrinth and immerse yourself in the full spectrum of human emotions: Asaf calls it a “search for a moment of truth”.
