LIONSTAGE / CONCERTS

3-MAJÓWKA 2013 ON WYSPA SŁODOWA

As every year over the long May weekend, LIONSTAGE is co-organising a series of concerts in the heart of Wrocław. The event on Słodowa Island has become a permanent fixture in Poland’s festival calendar.

TIME FOR WROCŁAW’S LONG MAY WEEKEND

This year, two days of incredible fun await us. On 2 and 3 May, Wrocław’s Wyspa Słodowa will become the loudest and happiest place in Poland. 3-Majówka continues to grow each year, with an increasing number of top artists appearing on our stage. Within just a few years, our festival is becoming one of the country’s most important, drawing fans of Polish music from across Poland.

This edition will be no different. Classics such as Strachy na Lachy, Dżem and Kult will all be there. We can all sing their songs, so we have no hesitation already predicting crowds of fans before the stage.

For fans of female voices, the energetic Monika Brodka will take the stage, with her album Granda guaranteed to get everyone dancing. Maria Peszek will visit her home city, giving us the chance to hear songs from her new album Jezus Maria Peszek, whose lyrics address issues important to the artist and others. Her performance is sure to delight alternative music fans.

Reggae enthusiasts will not leave disappointed either. Vavamuffin will supply Jamaican rhythms combined with dub and dancehall. Released in April, Solresol made a considerable impact in the music industry, and the concert will certainly offer incredible experiences.

Hunter, Luxtorpeda and Power of Trinity will provide heavier sounds. There will certainly be plenty of chances to pogo!
