Yann Tiersen and Archive on Wyspa Słodowa: folk, minimalism and an outdoor concert in Wrocław
Regarded as a virtuoso on violin and accordion, Yann Tiersen will return to Wrocław in June for a unique concert, his only one in Poland. It will form part of the multi-day Wrocław city celebration, WrocLove Fest 2011.

Tiersen’s music resists any single style or genre and remains a mystery in itself: spacious, majestic, poetic, romantic and refined. The artist moves between folk, minimalist music and rock.
He is also the composer of numerous excellent film soundtracks, including the iconic “Amélie”, “The Dreamlife of Angels” and “Good Bye Lenin!”. LIONSTAGE Management co-organises Yann Tiersen's concert.
The music of the evening's second star, Archive, is often described as a meeting point between Pink Floyd and Radiohead. The band have numerous hits to their name, including the famous “Again”, which spent many weeks at number one on Polish Radio Three's chart and remained on Marek Niedźwiecki's chart for no fewer than 70 weeks.
You can discover how Archive’s work sounds live at an outdoor concert on Wrocław’s Wyspa Słodowa, with summer almost upon us.
