*** THE “ORIGINAL” BLUES BROTHERS BAND BIO ***

It was always about the music. Jake and Elwood may have stood at the front, but they secured support from some of the finest blues musicians ever assembled, people behind the success of Otis Redding, Booker T & MGS, Muddy Waters, James Cotton, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave and SNL Band. The line-up formed then bonded strongly enough to tour for three more decades, despite individual musicians’ availability problems.

Since their line-up changed in 1988, The 'Original' Blues Brothers Band have successfully headlined international stages large and small at many of Europe’s jazz and blues festivals. These have included Nimes Fair in France, the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, Pistoia Blues Festival in Italy and Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. They have drawn audiences of up to 60,000 people at a single performance.

The band presents a magical, breathtaking blend of blues, gospel and soul.
