Team Me at City Sounds: Norwegian indie pop and the debut sound of “To The Treetops!”

We announce another concert in the autumn edition of our series. Join us on 18 October to meet representatives of the Scandinavian scene: Norway’s Team Me.

According to bloggers and journalists, Norway's Team Me were among the best newcomers of 2011. Last year, the band appeared on important European stages including The Great Escape, Club NME and Berlin Independent Nights, but their musical conquest began in their native Norway.

They first appeared in a competition run by a local radio station, then recorded the Team Me EP in the winter of 2011. Sharing stages with The Wombats in England, continental Europe and Scandinavia helped them win their first fans. Their debut album, “To The Treetops!”, was made in Oslo in just five weeks and released in Norway in October 2011, followed by a worldwide release in March 2012.

It is a superb album that received numerous positive reviews, while the single “Show Me” is one of the finest indie-pop tracks of recent months! Fans of Sufjan Stevens, Jonsi, Patrick Wolf, Mew and Broken Social Scene will certainly find plenty to enjoy in Team Me's music!
