Tanita Tikaram at WrocLove Fest: the voice of “Twist in My Sobriety” on Wyspa Słodowa
Tanita Tikaram features in the WrocLove Fest 2012 announcement for Wyspa Słodowa, alongside Renata Przemyk and Mikromusic. The singer known for “Twist in My Sobriety” and “Good Tradition” introduces a musical story stretching from “Ancient Heart” to the later “Sentimental”.

The creator of one of the most recognisable hits of all time, “Twist In My Sobriety”, will headline the second day of WrocLove Fest, held for Wrocław's city celebrations. She will therefore perform on 19 June on Wrocław's Wyspa Słodowa.
Tanita Tikaram was born in Germany to a British army officer from Fiji and a mother born in Malaysia. As a teenager, she moved to the UK with her family. At 19, she released her debut album, “Ancient Heart”, featuring hits including “Twist In My Sobriety” and “Good Tradition”. Fans worldwide fell in love with her distinctive, husky voice and bought 4 million copies of the record. She recorded regularly over the following decade, before briefly disappearing from the music scene and moving to Italy after “The Capuccino Songs”. She returned in 2005, when her seventh studio album, “Sentimental”, reached the shops.
The artist's latest album is scheduled for release in July this year, and we will hear its material for the first time at the Wrocław concert. Alongside Tanita Tikaram, Renata Przemyk and Mikromusic will perform at the concert on 19 June.
