Parov Stelar Band at City Sounds: “The Princess”, electronics and acoustic instruments
Parov Stelar Band combines Marcus Füreder’s electronic production with live instrumentation. The spring City Sounds preview announced the band as one of the series’ headliners, with “The Princess” at the centre of the concert programme.

We announce another headliner for the spring City Sounds series: the long-awaited Parov Stelar Band! The group will come to Poland to promote their latest album, “The Princess”.
Parov Stelar is Austrian producer and musician Marcus Füreder. He caught the world’s attention with his excellent debut, “Rough Cuts” (2004). His music is a perfect example of trip-hop’s continuation, now evolving towards lounge and downtempo, filled with warm, stylish electronic sounds. Yet Parov’s music relies heavily on natural instruments, including trumpet, double bass and piano. He has three solo albums and a joint project with The Wolf Mayer Orchestra to his name. His recordings are known from compilations such as “Hotel Costes”, “Many Ray” and “Stress Free”, and in Poland from the “Pinacolada” series.
The band's previous Polish concerts revealed the enormous potential of their catchy yet sophisticated songs and how brilliantly they work live. The Polish concert series will provide an opportunity to promote the band's new album, “The Princess”, scheduled for release on 19 April.
