O.S.T.R. and Marco Polo with “Kartagina”: Polish rap and Canadian beats at Eter club

One of Poland's best-known creators, O.S.T.R., has joined forces with Marco Polo, the respected Canadian hip-hop producer. This international collaboration has produced “Kartagina” (Asfalt Records), due for release in February. In March, the musicians invite you to a concert at Wrocław's Eter.

“It was one of my greatest musical dreams, but I thought it was impossible,” says O.S.T.R. of recording with the American-Canadian artist. “Working with Marco is an honour. I tried to live up to his beats, which is why the album took 3 years. Selecting subjects, lyrics and beats was ruthless. We had a vision from the beginning: something outstanding, defining the peak of our abilities today ,” he reveals.

Work on the album was exceptionally intense and had been underway since 2011. The video for the first single, “Side Effects”, is already available online, but we will discover the final result in February, when the record is released. In March, Marco Polo will fly to Poland for the tour promoting “Kartaginę”.

- It's an honour for me to have fans in Poland too. I've always enjoyed the concerts here and can't wait for the March tour. We've prepared something really special for our audience; nobody will be disappointed. Thanks to O.S.T.R. for this opportunity. The man is a legend. See you! says Marco Polo.

The tour includes Poland's largest cities, among them Warsaw, Poznań and… Wrocław, which the musicians will visit on 20 March for a concert at Eter. DJ Haem will accompany Marco Polo and O.S.T.R. at every show, with support from Asfalt Records artists Sarius and Zorak.

Sarius, creator of “Blisko Leży Obraz Końca”, is a young, highly talented rapper from Częstochowa who debuted with Asfalt Records just two months ago. Zorak, by contrast, is a seasoned veteran, a member of Broklin, Sound-Busters, NTK and Tabasko, and Poland's WBW Beatbox Battle champion in 2008.
