O.S.T.R. and Hades with “Haos”: a joint album and two personalities of Polish rap in Wrocław
On “Haos”, O.S.T.R. and Hades bring together two distinctive voices in Polish rap, developing a collaboration that began with an Emade beat. The Eter concert preview explored their joint album, its lyrics and its carefully shaped musical form.

On 19 December in Wrocław, you can discover the results of Ostry and Hades’s collaboration. A few months ago, the rappers recorded the album “Haos” together.
Polish hip-hop has already seen many interesting collaborations. O.S.T.R. and Hades began working together, as so often happens, by chance: specifically, on one of POE's singles, when Emade sent the same beat to both artists. Rather than argue over it, they decided to join forces. This time, chance served both those involved and hip-hop fans well.
Ostry and Hades’s joint record, released by Asfalt Records, appeared in February this year. Although its title might suggest otherwise, “Haos” feels carefully thought through and planned from A to Z. There is no point looking for randomness or chaos in it. The lyrics are genuinely strong, and overall the album radiates a kind of musical awareness.
O.S.T.R., whose real name is Adam Ostrowski, has been active on the Polish scene for over a decade. He works not only as a rapper but also as a musician, producer and sound engineer. He is associated with Tabasko, with whom he recorded “Ostatnia szansa tego rapu”, while together with Emade he forms POE. Ostry has released over a dozen studio albums, a considerable proportion of which have gone gold or platinum. With the duo Skinny Patrini, he produced an album of music for Katarzyna Rosłaniec’s much-discussed film “Galerianki”.
He won two Fryderyk awards, for “HollyŁódź” and “O.c.b”, and has also received “Ślizgery”, awards presented by a monthly magazine covering subjects including hip-hop culture.
Hades, or Łukasz Bułat-Mironowicz, has not yet achieved O.S.T.R.’s popularity, but undoubtedly has a strong chance of doing so soon. Many experts call him Polish rap’s new hope. Active for around 14 years, he is known from HiFi Banda and associated with Zamach Stanu, DHO and RH-. He has released “Nowe dobro to zło” and worked with Chada, Vienio and Pelson.
