O.S.T.R. and “Kartagina”: a collaboration with Marco Polo performed live at Stary Klasztor
O.S.T.R. and “Kartagina” provide the focus of the Stary Klasztor concert announcement. Made with Marco Polo over three years, the album connects a careful selection of subjects and lyrics with the producer’s beats and the rapper’s long-held musical ambition.
One of Poland's best-known artists, O.S.T.R., collaborated with respected Canadian hip-hop producer Marco Polo, resulting in “Kartagina”. On 27 November, O.S.T.R. invites you to Wrocław's Stary Klasztor for a concert moved from Eter.
“It was one of my greatest musical dreams, but I thought it was impossible,” says O.S.T.R. of recording with the American-Canadian artist. “Working with Marco is an honour. I tried to live up to his beats, which is why the album took 3 years. Selecting subjects, lyrics and beats was ruthless. We had a vision from the beginning: something outstanding, defining the peak of our abilities today,” he reveals.
Work on the album was exceptionally intense and had been underway since 2011. The video for the first single, “Side Effects”, is already available online, but we will discover the final result in February, when the record is released. In March, Marco Polo will fly to Poland for the tour promoting “Kartaginę”.
“It's an honour for me to have fans in Poland too. I've always enjoyed the concerts here and can't wait for the March tour. We've prepared something really special for our audience; nobody will be disappointed. Thanks to O.S.T.R. for this opportunity. The man is a legend. See you!” says Marco Polo.
