NUT FERMENT IN THE COALITION OF CITIES

Nut Ferment returns! Capitol Musical Theatre's musical talk show promoted Wrocław musicians in previous episodes; now, in the European Capital of Culture, we will host bands from the Coalition of Cities. LIONSTAGE has been the programme's executive producer from the start.

Gdańsk, Katowice, Lublin, Łódź, Poznań and Szczecin

Gdańsk, Katowice, Lublin, Łódź, Poznań and Szczecin are the cities that competed for the title of European Capital of Culture 2016. Together with Wrocław, they form the Coalition of Cities for Culture: a model of cultural cooperation between major cities that is innovative on a European scale and unprecedented in the history of the European Capital of Culture competition. In this new edition of Nut Ferment on Scena Ciśnień, the performers will be Chorzy (Szczecin), Jóga (Katowice) and Fismoll (Poznań) on 27 October, followed on 28 October by Black Radio (Łódź), Tallib & Roots Brothers (Lublin) and Tomasz Lipnicki (Gdańsk).

Nut Ferment is hosted by Konrad Imiela, who presents each concert as a live musical talk show on the Scena Ciśnień at Capitol Musical Theatre. Each episode features three guests, soloists or bands, each performing three songs, including one cover of another performer appearing in the same episode.

Guest performances are preceded by the title song, “Nut Ferment, ciśnienie nut”, written by Konrad Imiela (lyrics) and Tomasz Leszczyński (music), sung in each episode by an actor or actress from Capitol. This time, however, things will be a little different: on 27 October, we will hear it performed by Chór Komentujących Wrocławian, and on 28 October by the writers themselves, Konrad and Tomasz.
