Little Dragon in Wrocław: “Ritual Union”, Yukimi Nagano and electronic pop from Sweden
Little Dragon combines electronic pop, digital funk and Yukimi Nagano’s soulful voice. The announcement of the Polish “Ritual Union” tour introduces the Swedish band through its dance-oriented songs and musical connections with Gorillaz, TV on the Radio and Raphael Saadiq.
What can working with Gorillaz, TV On The Radio, Raphael Saadiq and half of Outkast mean for a Swedish band? Promotion to modern pop's premier league: exactly what Little Dragon have earned through two highly acclaimed albums and enthusiastically received concerts worldwide!
As always, their perfect sound puts others to shame, getting people dancing more than ever! Fortunately, the “Ritual Union” promotional tour includes Poland. Beautiful Yukimi Nagano's group will play the first show of their Polish tour in Wrocław!
“Ritual Union” combines the debut’s experimental, enchanting nocturnal charm with “Machine Dreams” and its contemporary dance sounds. First single “Nightlight” is digital funk/art soul, sounding like Erykah Badu with a new-wave edge. “Brush the Heat”, their most club-oriented track yet, detonates dance floors with the most infectious cowbells since Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”! The forthcoming single and title track, “Ritual Union”, is gleaming, soulful electronic pop: precisely the sounds with which Little Dragon enchanted the world!
If you were captivated by Little Dragon's excellent collaborations with international pop stars — aren't Yukimi Nagano's “Empire Ants” and “To Binge” the best tracks on the latest Gorillaz album? — be sure to check out the Swedes' new record and do not miss their Polish concerts!
