25 JUNE 2021

The concert takes place on 25 June on the summer stage at Park na Wyspie, Wróblewskiego 9, as part of WrocLove Summer Stage.

WrocLove Summer Stage is a summer series of outdoor concerts in an atmospheric location beside Wrocław Zoo and Centennial Hall.

Lech Janerka: a Wrocław-born rock musician, composer, bassist and lyricist.

He breaks the world's spell with melodic cries and thoughtful phrases, turning lyrics into rhythmic incantations. Within these words, the moment, the instant and reality are strongly felt. It is an alternative world full of life, rebelling with infinite energy against grey everyday existence.

He emerged on Poland’s rock scene in the late 1970s. In 1979, he founded Klaus Mitffoch, recording Klaus Mitffoch (1985), considered by many the most important record in Polish rock history. Its expression matched punk bands’ energy, yet its melodies and harmonies were far more developed. The lyrics referred to life in 1980s communist Poland, many offering veiled criticism of the regime and calls to fight. It won Album of the Thirty Years in Magazyn Muzyczny’s journalists’ poll and Album of the 1980s among Tylko Rock readers.

After leaving the band, Lech Janerka released Historia podwodna (1986) under his own name. It was followed by Piosenki (1989), Ur (1991), Bez prądu (1993), Co lepsze kawałki (1993), Bruhaha (1994), Dobranoc (1996), Fiu fiu (2002) and Plagiaty (2005). Janerka also composed music for Jacek Skalski's “Chce mi się wyć” and Wiesław Saniewski's “Obcy musi fruwać”.
