L.U.C PRESENTS ‘GOOD L.U.C.K’
City Sounds invites you to Stary Klasztor for a live incarnation of “Good L.U.C.K”.
Musician and multimedia performer Łukasz “L.U.C.” Rostkowski has recorded a solo album connected with cinema. Songs, films and short studies bring musicians and actors together, including Tomasz Kot, Arek Jakubik, Bovska, Gutek, Katarzyna Figura and Karolina Czarnecka!
23 NOVEMBER 2018
“Good L.U.C.K” reveals a new side of Łukasz Rostkowski, winner of the Polityka Passport, Yach awards and Mateusz Trójki. Positive jazz-chillout beats and 1970s samples bring together musicians including Bovska, Gutek, folk ensemble Laboratorium Pieśni and Robert Cichy, alongside leading Polish actors Tomasz Kot, Arek Jakubik, Katarzyna Figura and Karolina Czarnecka. Production is handled by L.U.C. and young producer ES.CE, who has already worked with Dutch musician Joe Kickass of Killing Skills and Grubson collaborator BRK.
The album is a sarcastic yet positive story of change, unpredictability and the soap-opera nature of human lives.
This quotation illustrates it best:
“We all play in the same film
each caught in a different scene
the same roles, frames, clapperboards and moments
in life's scenery, perversity lies dormant”
as the artists sing together on the album's opening track.
The artist announces that the concerts will feature an acoustic quartet, revealing successive film extracts with actors’ sketches.
