Jorane at the Stage Songs Review: voice and cello in a duo with pianist Anthony Rozankovic
Joanne Pelletier – a French-speaking Canadian singer and cellist, lyricist and composer, an exploratory and intriguing artist.

Few artists from Quebec have careers as varied as composer, performer and lyricist Jorane. In a show prepared especially for PPA, she will appear in a duo with pianist Anthony Rozankovic.
Since releasing her first album, “Vent fou” (“Wild Wind”), in 1999, Jorane has travelled the world performing. She released further albums, “16mm”, “Jorane Live”, “Evapore” and “The You and the Now”, and recorded the soundtrack for “Je n’aime que toi”. In March 2006, she released “Canvas or Canvass?” exclusively online, followed by “Vers à soi” and “Dix”, the latter in 2008.
Jorane's latest album, “Une sorcière comme une autre”, continues the poetic strand in her work. This time, she uses the words of Leonard Cohen, Anne Sylvestre and Patrick Watson, giving their songs new life.
