Jah Cure will perform at the tenth-anniversary edition of Reggaeland in Płock! On 10 July 2015, audiences on the Vistula beach will hear his unique voice and numerous international hits. It will be his first visit to Poland! His specialities are roots reggae and lovers rock: he is considered the king of these demanding genres and a worthy successor to the old masters.

Siccaturie Alcock, known as Jah Cure, was long ago recognised by critics and reviewers as one of Jamaica’s finest singers. From early childhood, his voice hypnotised everyone who heard it. As a youngster, he slipped out through his bedroom window at night to visit local events, seeing reggae icons including Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Black Uhuru and Beres Hammond. He then decided to become part of this movement, dedicating everything to fulfilling that mission.

He soon experienced spiritual enlightenment and began following Rastafari teachings. The legendary Capleton named young Siccaturie Jah Cure. The symbolism was clear: his voice was medicine for listeners, easing their lives’ difficulties. Beres Hammond himself took him under his wing, becoming the young singer’s mentor. Jah Cure’s popularity grew rapidly, but legal problems leading to imprisonment interrupted his career. While serving his sentence, he recorded several songs that soon became major hits, including “Jamaica” and “Longin For”.

His debut album, “Free Jah Cure”, appeared a year after his arrest and immediately became very popular, with critics comparing it to Bob Marley's “Exodus”. The second album, “Ghetto Life”, produced by Beres Hammond, featured the hit single “Divide and Rule” with guest Sizzla, which was named song of the year.

Jah Cure’s international popularity and the numerous appeals reaching the Jamaican government from almost every corner of the world led to his early release from prison. On 28 July 2007, Jah Cure became a free man. He then decided to dedicate himself entirely to music and spreading a message of love, peace and respect for others. Since then, he has topped the charts repeatedly. “By Your Arms Of Love” from his fourth album, “True Reflections”, “Call on Me” and “Luv On a 2 Way Street” from “The Universal Cure”, and a host of singles recorded by leading independent producers have cemented his position as one of Jamaica’s foremost singers.

“Unconditional Love” from his sixth album, “World Cry”, became the world's most popular reggae recording, climbing to number one in the charts. The album featured Mavado, Rick Ross, Jazmine Sullivan and Phyllisia, among others.

His latest recording, “Life we Live”, also became an international hit, reinforcing his reputation as an artist and producer. Jah Cure is currently finishing his seventh studio album and preparing to tour Europe and South America.
