Imany at Wrocław Congress Centre: acoustic songs from the creator of “Shape of a Broken Heart”
Imany builds acoustic songs around a low, distinctive voice and a personal sensibility. The announcement of her appearance at Wrocław Congress Centre introduces the artist behind “Shape of a Broken Heart” and her journey from modelling in New York to making music in Paris.

IMANY, the French singer and model beloved by Polish audiences, will perform in Wrocław again!
The artist behind the multi-Platinum album “Shape of a Broken Heart” will give an acoustic concert on 21 April in the Auditorium Hall of the Wrocław Congress Centre, within the Centennial Hall complex.
From a large family of African emigrants, the artist is regarded as the next revelation on the French music scene after Zaz.
Imany came to Paris from New York, where she had successfully pursued modelling for seven years. Tired of being merely a “clothes hanger”, she abandoned the catwalk and devoted herself to what she considered her true calling: music.
Imany enchanted listeners with her extraordinary, melancholy-filled voice. At one concert, she caught the attention of the Senegalese producer who discovered Ayo. He helped her realise her greatest dream: recording an album. Accompanied by outstanding musicians, Imany recorded 12 English-language songs for “Shape of a Broken Heart”. Her debut album went triple platinum, and her exuberant concerts draw crowds.
Following the success of her debut album, Imany composed her first film soundtrack for “Sous les jupes des filles” (Polish title: “Spódnice w górę!”, released in Poland on 3 October 2014).
The result is nine beautiful songs inspired by the lives of 11 exceptional women.
The soundtrack album was released on 17 June 2014. Imany created it at the request of director Audrey Dana, who turned out to be an admirer of her voice.
