GUSGUS AT A2 CONCERT CENTRE

26 MAY 2018

Biggie Vieira and Daniel August: this charismatic pair have defined the Icelandic group's uniqueness since the 1990s. From “Polydistortion”, their first album for 4AD, to the latest, “Lies Are More Flexible”, Biggie's inimitable electronic productions, Daniel's wonderful lyrical voice and their stage presence have made GusGus's message so powerful.

Over their career, the band repeatedly changed personnel, inviting musicians, dancers and female and male voices, usually refreshing their original dance vision. After bestsellers “Arabian Horse” and “Mexico”, the Icelanders return equally strong with a unique fusion of electropop melodies, trance-techno rhythms and synthesisers. “Lies Are More Flexible” is previewed by excellent dance single “Featherlight”, already available digitally with remixes.

Hits such as “Over”, “Airwaves” and “Crossfade” won GusGus many new fans, including in Poland. Excellent performances at Audioriver in Płock and OFF in Katowice, together with sold-out club tours, confirmed their reputation as one of the best live acts on the electronic and club scene. “Lies Are More Flexible” arrives four years after “Mexico”, and the new material from the Reykjavík group was certainly worth the wait!

Alongside the joy of a new album, GusGus's eager fans will also have several opportunities to see their favourites live: the Icelanders will begin their Polish tour in Poznań on 21 May, before visiting Gdańsk, Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław in turn.
