6 AUGUST 2011

We officially confirm and invite you: Gentleman, Europe's undisputed reggae master, will perform at XVII Przystanek Woodstock! It promises to be Poland's most important summer reggae event. On 6 August in Kostrzyn nad Odrą, Gentleman will perform with his largest line-up.

Tilmann Otto, widely known as Gentleman, is one of the most popular reggae musicians in Poland and Europe. Although he comes from Germany, a country that would seem to have a distinctly “Jamaican” atmosphere, he is regarded as a master and an unsurpassed role model among reggae artists. Gentleman superbly adds dancehall, hip-hop and R&B sounds to traditional Jamaican beats, alongside intelligent, meaningful lyrics that passionately address important social issues. Over his years in music, he has worked with many excellent artists, and his albums and songs have become firmly established in the canon of contemporary reggae.

His performances always draw large crowds, and he is admired not only by reggae fans but by lovers of good music in general. Critics appreciate the constant progress of his work. Gentleman continually adds new elements, sounds and themes to his music, remaining deeply open to everything new and intriguing. This process can confidently be called a permanent artistic evolution.
