Dry the River at City Sounds in Firlej: the British debut “Shallow Bed” and gospel-funk
Dry the River described its sound as gospel-funk played by punk rockers. The City Sounds announcement at Firlej introduces the British band through its debut “Shallow Bed”, preceded by the EPs “No Rest” and “Weights & Measures”.

City Sounds presents British band Dry The River. The group performs on the LIVE stage at Wrocław’s Firlej club on 18 November!
Dry the River are a British band often compared with Fleet Foxes and Mumford & Sons. They define their music as “gospel-funk played by punk rockers”. Their debut EPs from 2011, “No Rest” and “Weights & Measures”, attracted media and public attention, raising considerable expectations for their first full-length album.
The excellent debut “Shallow Bed”, released in March this year, more than fulfilled those expectations. The album received enthusiastic reviews, with journalists highlighting, among other things, the band’s outstanding lyrics.
