The second day of concerts in Wrocław's Market Square — w Rytmie miasta (Dni Miasta Wrocławia 2022) — is a gesture of solidarity with Ukraine. On Saturday 25 June, concerts will take place under the banner SILNI RAZEM! Performing will be Kozak System (UKR), NO LOGO & Maria Sadowska, accompanied by Ramona Ray and Marzena Ugorna, as well as Cieniu, Bethel, Palmy and Bartek Deryło. There will be no chance of getting bored in Wrocław

“This is a time when we particularly need community and togetherness, both long-standing Wrocław residents and those who settled here in recent months. Our message to everyone is: we are together. Together we are strong,” says Wrocław Mayor Jacek Sutryk. “Residents have beautifully demonstrated how well we can stand together in recent months. ‘Spotkajmy się Wrocławiu – weekend w rytmie miasta’ offers a chance to spend joyful time together too.”

Kozak System in Wrocław

One of Saturday’s stars will be Kozak System, well known to Ukrainian audiences and associated in Poland with collaborations with Enej and Maleo Reggae Rockers.

“For more than 100 days, Ukraine has bravely resisted Russia’s attack. We fight on the front every day, but cannot forget that in another life, the life ‘before’, we held microphones and instruments, not weapons,” says Kozak System’s Iwan Łenio. “Music knows no borders. We want to thank you for supporting all Ukraine’s residents, for ensuring that we were not alone during these 100 days. We felt, and still feel, Polish people’s support. Together we are strong! Together we will win. Slava Ukraini! Glory to Poland!”

NO LOGO & Maria Sadowska

Maria Sadowska has recorded hits known throughout Poland and has been part of the Polish music scene for over 25 years. She combines genres including jazz, funk, electronic music and pop. She is an acclaimed singer, director, composer and lyricist. She has worked with many Polish and international artists, including Michel Legrand, Michał Urbaniak, Jan Ptaszyn-Wróblewski, Bogusław Mec and Urszula Dudziak. This time, she will appear with NO LOGO: six men from Sejny whose stage energy will draw in every fan of good music. No Logo will take you on a smuggler’s journey across the Lithuanian-Polish border, ending at Augustów’s Albatros, and plunge you into deep Lake Hańcza and Sejny’s river with the mysterious name “Marycha”.

Palmy, Bethel, Bartek Deryło, Cieniu

Wrocław band Palmy was formed in 2019 by brothers Mateusz and Michał Liziński. The line-up also includes Michał Zbąski on bass and drummer Łukasz Kowalczyk. Palmy play melodic indie rock recalling young pop-rock bands of the late 1990s and the turn of the millennium.

Grzegorz Wlaźlak founded Bethel in Wrocław in December 2006. The band plays reggae with elements of dub and ska.

Bartek Deryło and Cieniu are known to a wide audience from Voice of Poland. They are rising stars of Poland’s music scene.

The event will be accessible to people with disabilities in accordance with the Wrocław Accessibility Standards for Culture and Events.
