Iza Lach in Wrocław: a musical journey following her collaboration with Snoop Dogg and travels across the Atlantic
Iza Lach’s IZA project brings together personal lyrics, soulful expression and hip-hop sounds. The announced Painkiller Tour concert at Stary Klasztor introduced a new chapter following her collaboration with Snoop Dogg and recording trips across the Atlantic.
After two intense years, trips across the Atlantic, three released mixtapes, work with Snoop Dogg, playing herself in a film debut and many sleepless nights, Iza Lach returns in autumn as IZA.
The singer will perform on 15 February at the Stary Klasztor music club, ul. Purkyniego 1, as part of the Painkiller Tour promoting her latest album.
IZA made her debut in 2008 with the album Już czas, promoted by the single Nie, which led critics to hail her as the princess of Polish pop. Her second album, Krzyk, went on sale in 2011. In 2012, IZA won a competition to remix Snoop Dogg's song “Set It Off”. The victory led to a long-term collaboration between the artists, resulting in the album Off The Wire.
Four years later, she became a favourite of Snoop Dogg. Her music is an exuberant combination of raw hip-hop sounds, the honesty of soul and the catchiness of pop. IZA specialises in memorable melodies, original harmony and a unique voice.
On 30 September, IZA released Painkiller, the fourth, most mature and personal album of her career. Its songs were written on the border between resignation and growing stronger. Eleven new compositions, with guests The Airplane Boys and Soopafy, document her gradual transformation into an authentic, free artist without illusions.
IZA has performed live since 2012, giving more than 50 concerts with her band at clubs and festivals in Poland, Germany and the USA.
