Brodka and Paula & Karol at Eter: a joint tour with “LAX” and “Whole Again”
Brodka and Paula & Karol joined forces in an announcement of a shared eight-city tour including Eter. The programme pairs “LAX”, with the Los Angeles recordings “Varsovie” and “Dancing Shoes”, with “Whole Again”, growing from the musicians’ friendship and mutual respect.
The winner of numerous music awards, including a Fryderyk and Polish Radio Three's Mateusz for “Granda”, returns to Wrocław. BRODKA will appear at Eter Club on 25 November with PAULA I KAROL on the live CITY SOUNDS stage!
Monika Brodka and Paula & Karol are heading out on a joint tour of Poland. The autumn tour, promoting Brodka's latest release, the “LAX” EP, and Paula & Karol's most recent album, “WHOLE AGAIN”, will visit 8 cities. The artists know, like and respect one another, so joining forces and finally playing together was a natural decision. Expect full-throttle live energy and… surprises!
Almost two years after the release of “GRANDA”, the album that became the greatest success of Brodka's career to date, the artist decided to release something unusual for the Polish market: an EP, something between a single and a full-length album.
As with “Granda”, Bartosz Dziedzic produced and co-wrote the “LAX” EP. The record was made at Red Bull Studio in Los Angeles. Interestingly, in another first for the Polish market, this mini-album is currently available only as a digital release from online music shops.
It features two new songs, “Varsovie” and “Dancing Shoes”, and remixes by outstanding artists: Kamp!, Bueno Bros., Auer and Greg Kozo of Parisian DJ duo Make the Girl Dance. Brodka continues along her own path, staying with the alternative pop loved by “GRANDA” fans.
The first single and video, “VARSOVIE”, has already become a 2012 hit, reigning for weeks on charts including Polish Radio Three's. With the announcement of the LAX promotional tour, the second single, “Dancing Shoes Kamp! Remix”, reaches radio and television stations.
